New bonded warehouse opens in Kuje

The customs-controlled facility, a subsidiary of Sirlyon Limited, enables imported goods to be transported under Customs bond from Nigeria’s seaports to Abuja, where they can be stored, processed and cleared closer to their final markets.
The new facility is expected to reduce the logistical burden on traders whose businesses are concentrated in Abuja and northern markets, potentially limiting repeated trips to ports in the southern part of the country.
“TRÏNŪ was built around a simple observation: businesses shouldn’t have to keep moving back and forth to where their cargo isn’t ultimately going,” said Bilal Ajijola, CEO of TRÏNŪ Bonded Warehouse.
“By creating a secure, customs-controlled facility in Abuja, we’re bringing more of that process closer to where the goods are actually needed. You store, process and clear your cargo closer to its destination.”
With capacity for approximately 700 containers, the facility offers container and general cargo storage, customs documentation and clearance support, cargo handling and consolidation, and weighbridge services. It also provides on-site office accommodation for the Nigeria Customs Service and other relevant regulatory agencies.
The opening adds a privately operated, customs-controlled inland logistics option to Abuja’s growing trade infrastructure. It also supports Nigeria’s broader push to move cargo processing closer to major inland markets, complementing existing inland container depots and dry ports in cities such as Kano and Kaduna.
“Our ambition is to build more than a warehouse,” Ajijola said. “We want TRÏNŪ to become an important inland gateway for trade into Abuja and Northern Nigeria.”
