Troops kill ISWAP commander, 40 Terrorists in Borno

原文原文 / Original TextA precision air strike conducted by the Air Component of the Joint Task Force (North East) Operation HADIN KAI has neutralized over 40 Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists, including a high-ranking commander.
The military operation, executed on October 10, 2026, targeted a heavily fortified ISWAP enclave located at Badu Village, south of Gudumbali in the Guzamala Local Government Area of Borno State.
According to a statement released by the operation’s spokesman, Captain Mohammed Goni, the decisive strike was the result of actionable, intelligence-driven surveillance.
He said the military had received credible reports indicating that a large concentration of ISWAP fighters had gathered at the location to plan and launch coordinated attacks against military troops stationed in Sector 3.

Acting swiftly on the intelligence, the air component deployed assets for targeted aerial surveillance.
He said the fighters suspected hideouts and logistics facilities were positively identified, and a precision air strike was unleashed directly on the primary building occupied by the insurgents.
