2027: Qadiriyya backs Tinubu, says ‘he has good mission for...

原文原文 / Original Text

The leader of the Qadiriyya Sufi sect in Africa, Sheikh Qaribullah Sheikh Nasiru Kabara, has declared the group’s support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s bid for a second term in office, following the appointment of Senator Abdul’aziz Yari as Director-General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council.

Sheikh Qaribullah spoke on Sunday when he received the Tinubu campaign team, led by Senator Yari.

The Sect leader said Yari’s appointment had strengthened the relationship between the Qadiriyya Movement and the campaign, stressing that the senator had maintained a close relationship with the group for more than two decades.

“For over 20 years, we have been together with Abdul’aziz Yari, and he has openly supported this house. He is one of us, and whatever he comes with, we have no option but to support it,” he said.

The cleric said the group was not only supporting Tinubu’s re-election but also believed that the president had a “good mission” for Nigeria.

He added that the Qadiriyya sect would commence prayers for the president, with emphasis on peace, economic recovery, job creation and an end to insecurity.
