原文原文 / Original TextJoy Ugonma Olayiwola, an Assistant Director at the National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA), Abuja has been named recipient of the 2026 Aig-Imoukhuede Master in Public Policy (MPP) Scholarship at the University of Oxford.
The scholarship, awarded by the Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation, will enable Olayiwola to pursue a Master of Public Policy at Oxford’s Blavatnik School of Government.
Olayiwola, an alumna of the Foundation’s Public Leaders Programme, has more than 17 years of public service experience, with expertise in digital systems, data-driven solutions and institutional capacity development. She also leads the Smart Geospatial and ICT Unit at GeoApps Plus Limited.
Established in 2017, the Aig-Imoukhuede MPP Scholarship supports exceptional Nigerian public servants with advanced policy knowledge, international exposure and practical skills aimed at strengthening public-sector reform and service delivery.
With Olayiwola’s selection, the Foundation said 34 Nigerian public servants have now received the scholarship to study at Oxford.
According to the Foundation, previous beneficiaries have applied their training to areas including healthcare delivery, institutional reform and efforts to combat human trafficking.
Ofovwe Aig-Imoukhuede, Executive Vice Chair of the Foundation, said the scholarship reflects the organisation’s commitment to investing in public servants and strengthening their capacity to address complex challenges.
Olayiwola said she looks forward to learning alongside public servants from different countries and exploring policy approaches that can be adapted to Nigeria’s context.
